Hello, my name is Susan. I am a mixed media jewellery artist.  Making jewellery is my passion  but also I dabble in other crafts when I see something that interests me.

I started making jewellery many years ago when I learned to sew seed beads together to make earrings. I find the process very calming and relaxing. Also, I am fascinated by the choice of colours, colour combinations, shapes and textures.

I love to learn new skills and techniques and incorporate a variety of items into my jewellery  - from beads, wire, and metal to found and recycled items.  I like colour and I like the simpler things in life and this shows in my jewellery.  My jewellery designs can be classic and uncomplicated or unique and colourful. Most jewellery pieces are suitable for special occasions or everyday wear. 

Teaching is also my passion. I have been teaching craft and jewellery making skills for many years. As an instructor I take the time to explain the steps clearly so that everyone can understand. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and encouraging creativity with all my students.
